Neighborhood Buzz: New Cafes, Restaurants & Events Across the Peninsula

The Peninsula and South Bay continue to evolve with a variety of new small businesses and cultural events. From boutique tasting rooms to international coffee traditions, here is a look at what has recently arrived in our local neighborhoods.

🍷 Redwood City & San Carlos

DeVine Wine & Beer is now open at 2627 Broadway. Occupying the former BottleShop location, this venue features a curated selection of Santa Cruz Mountain labels and international boutique finds. It serves as a new gathering point for those interested in exploring regional viticulture.

🎷 Woodside & Portola Valley

Filoli Historic House & Garden will host jazz vocalist Stella Cole in the historic Ballroom from February 12–14. This series offers a classical music experience within one of the Peninsula’s most significant historical estates.

🚲 Menlo Park & Atherton

Bici Coffee has opened on Sand Hill Road, catering to the local cycling community and outdoor enthusiasts. The Italian-inspired, outdoor-only kiosk features a partnership with Cat & Cloud and Manresa Bread, providing a streamlined "refuel" station along a popular transit and recreation corridor.

🥑 Palo Alto & Los Altos

Hatched is the latest addition to Town & Country Village. This chef-driven concept focuses on elevated brunch sandwiches, featuring ingredients like slow-roasted pork belly and specialty mushroom blends. It adds a new dining dimension to the established shopping center.

☕ Mountain View & Sunnyvale

Arwa Yemeni Coffee on Tasman Drive introduces traditional Yemeni coffee traditions to the area. The interior showcases regional architecture, and the menu features traditional spiced beverages such as Qishr (coffee husks brewed with ginger and cinnamon).

🍲 Santa Clara & Cupertino

XPP Clay Pot has opened on Stevens Creek Blvd, specializing in traditional Cantonese-style clay pot rice. The menu also features a variety of double-boiled soups, focusing on traditional preparation methods and comfort-driven cuisine.

☕ San Jose

Cafe Con Leche Con Amor is now operating on Technology Drive in North San Jose. The cafe provides traditional espresso service in an environment designed to foster neighborhood connection within the local business district.

🐲 San Francisco: Community Event

March 7th | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM The Alaska Airlines Chinese New Year Parade returns to celebrate the Year of the Horse. The route extends from Market and Second to Kearny and Jackson. As a major cultural milestone, the event features the 288-foot Golden Dragon, illuminated floats, and traditional festivities.
